Mario Kart 64
The first racing gane on the Nintendo 64 was Mario Kart 64. The game was also the 1st 3d game in the whole Mario Kart series. It brought back all the old items, while adding some new ones.It replaced 2 characters, and added more elaborate tracks than the originals boring flat reapetative tracks. The game also had a track where there was a big jump which is a first in the series as well. It also came with everything unlocked, but the computer players had a setting called Rubber Banding which would make them go faster than the human player. It also made 4 player games possible. The game was realeased in the USA December 14, 1996 4 years before Mickey's Speedway USA.
Diddy Kong Racing
Diddy Kong racing was a racing game that relesed on the Nintendo 64 October 31 1997 in the USA. It was a racing game soley based on the children in the Donkey Kong series which was to have a sequel to be released 2 years later. It brought many new characters that were never in the Donkey Kong series, but were part of the company Rareware. The game used cars, helicopters, and boats. It also had items, and had a sequel on the Nintendo DS. After that there was never a new game relesed after that.
Mickey's Speedway USA
Mickey's Speedway USA was released November 13, 2000. The game was based on a story that would make up the whole point of the game. This element was borrowed from Diddy Kong Racing, but Mickey's game went all around the USA hence the title. It only has one multiplayer mode which is the battle mode. The game comes with 6 characters at start with evry character shares the same stats as another one. The only exceptions are the unlockable 4 charcters with their own unique stats. Each map represents one thing from the state the crew visits. One state in particular has more than one track which is California. The game also misses some states like Alabama, Missouri, etc....
